Spurs Set to Pursue Brennan Johnson Amid Growing Interest

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Nottingham Forest starlet Brennan Johnson, who has been attracting attention from several Premier League clubs. The 20-year-old winger has been in sensational form this season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 21 Championship appearances.

According to The Sun, Spurs are ready to make a move for Johnson in the January transfer window, as they look to bolster their attacking options under new manager Antonio Conte. The Italian tactician is said to be a fan of Johnson's pace, versatility and work rate, and believes he can fit into his preferred 3-4-3 system.

Johnson, the son of former Forest and Ipswich striker David Johnson, has been with the Reds since he was eight years old. He made his senior debut in 2019 and spent a last season on loan at Lincoln City, where he impressed with 13 goals and 14 assists in 48 games.

Forest is keen to keep hold of their academy product, which is under contract until 2024. However, they may face a tough battle to fend off interest from Spurs, who are reportedly willing to pay around £15 million for his services. Other clubs linked with Johnson include Leicester City, West Ham United, and Crystal Palace.

Johnson, who has represented Wales at senior level, has not commented on the speculation surrounding his future. He is currently focused on helping Forest climb up the Championship table, as they sit 11th after a slow start to the campaign. Johnson scored a brace in their last match, a 4-0 win over Preston North End.
